An easy culinary wedding registry option for couples and guests

Creating a wedding registry can be stressful. The couple may wonder if they registered for everything they need or the right things. While guests may stress over what to get for the couple. What is appropriate? Is this enough of a gift?

However, there are many outlets available that give couples the ease of knowing they included everything they need and allow guests an easy and, when possible, special or fun way to gift.

One of those outlets is Food52.

Food52.com is a labor of love between food writer and editor Merrill Stubbs and New York Times best-selling writer Amanda Hesser. It was created by food lovers for passionate cooks and their love of food.

In 2015, we reported on the launch of Food52’s wedding registry. There are thousands of items, many made by people from all over the world, and individual style sections (like retro or modern) to help couples, and guests, find the perfect gifts.

Recently, Food52 put out a list of favorite items to add “pops of color” to your kitchen. All of these items are available for purchase and to be put on a wedding registry.

The items include dinnerware, table accessories and kitchen knickknacks.

A couple of our favorites include the Russel Wright melamine dinnerware and serveware and the copper, brass, and enamel colored Louise bowls.

Click here to see their whole list and here to sign up for a wedding registry.

On the local level, couples can register with national companies like Bed, Bath and BeyondMacys; and Target; or even locally at Adler's New Orleans, which has a specific wedding registry. Stores such as Mignon Faget and Fleurty Girl have New Orleans-related items and wedding-specific gifts. These options are all especially nice for less tech savvy friends and family members who would rather shop for gifts the old fashioned way.
