Let's Go, Louisiana

What to do, see, listen to, eat and enjoy in the Pelican State.

Lake Charles Repose

Spa Du Lac

Surrounded by the Calcasieu River and the Port of Lake Charles is an oasis for relaxation. While there are loads of fun things to do and see in Lake Charles, L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles is a destination in and of itself, offering weary visitors a chance to get a bit of R&R, whether you are an overnight guest or just dropping by to take advantage of the award-winning amenities.

Your journey of tranquility at this AAA four-diamond waterfront resort begins the moment you step foot inside the 8,700-square foot, award-winning Spa Du Lac. As you approach the front desk of this full-service spa, you will be handed a glass of refreshing champagne, and it’s in that instant your cares of the day will instantly melt away.

This segregated male/female retreat boasts eight massage and facial suites, plus whirlpools, saunas and steam showers for the ultimate pampering experience. For pure bliss, have a seat in one of the state-of the-art, heated massage chairs, and give your tired feet an awakening inside the stunning glass foot bowls with portable jets.  (Tip: Add a sugar or salt hand/foot scrub to your service, which will leave your skin silky smooth and feeling like new.)

One of the most popular services is the Swedish massage followed by a facial. (Tip: Veteran massage therapist, Kristin, who has been working her therapeutic magic here for more than seven years, is known for her intuitive skills of knowing what your body needs. Her favorite massage for guests is a customized, deep tissue therapeutic massage.) (Insider’s Tip: Many spa employees and repeat guests enjoy the customized microdermabrasion facial during which, depending on the skin’s needs, a diamond tip or crystals are used.) The oxygen facials and the emergen-C triple threat peel (you will not actually peel or get red, but it does leave the skin amazingly soft) are also highly popular, the latter of which will leave your skin looking like glass for that special occasion.

Possibly one of the most unexpected and soothing moments following any pampering service at Spa Du Lac is putting on a soft, fresh heated robe. (Tip: Plan to stay several hours inside the spa to take full advantage of all the amenities, including the relaxation room and the adjoining cardio fitness center.)

If you're hungry, there is no need to leave this tranquil haven because they’ll have lunch delivered to you inside the relaxation room. Tempt your taste buds with scrumptious Asian-fusion dishes or a noodle and sushi bar. (Tip: Be sure to order the Rock-N-Shrimp appetizer, Chef Special Roll and Shaggy Dog Roll.)

Need another addition to a day of relaxation L’Auberge-style? Right outside the spa you can float away along the relaxing lazy river or take a dip in the pool, and enjoy the private cabana courtyard. The spirits are flowing here, as you can swim up to the bar and enjoy your favorite libation, relax poolside or at the full-service bar and grill that overlooks the lazy river. Spa Du Lac is also just steps from the sandy beach on the bank of the Calcasieu River, a spot where you can sink deep into a lounge chair and pass the day away by watching the fishing and pleasure boats go by.

While Spa Du Lac offers a full-service salon for the ladies, L'Auberge Casino Resort left no stone unturned when it comes to male pampering, too.  The 1740 Barbier (Fun Fact: Named to celebrate the year the straight razor was created in England) offers haircuts, luxury shaves, pedicures and manicures. The barber shop also offers a shoe shine while men are getting their beards and mustaches trimmed.

Care for a drink or cigar, sir? Gentlemen receive complimentary premium Scotch or bourbon with their service at the 1740 Barbier. Guests can also purchase and enjoy a cigar inside the Barbier Cigar and Whiskey Lounge.

Need more Zen? Tee-off at the peaceful and beautiful Contraband Bayou Golf Club at L’Auberge. For an ultimate golfing experience, play a round or two amid the stunning natural setting of an award-winning Tom Fazio-designed, 18-hole championship golf course.

While this award-winning resort prides itself on its relaxing amenities, remember: you are at one of the most popular and nonstop Vegas-style casinos in the South. L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles is a 70,000-square foot gaming facility with 70 table games and over 1,500 slot machines. There’s even a High Limit Salon and an ultra-modern 2,100-square foot poker room for those thirsty for more gaming fun.
