errol, please follow with explanation of St.Joseph's parade
Hi Drew,
I am a Fulbright Scholar and my research was a study of 3 feasts - one was St. Joseph, the festa di pane. New Orleans is definitely the site of feast preservation and celebration in the US but in Sicily the feast is celebrated hugely in several towns, Salemi, Cefalu and Gibellina and Cattabelota. Salemi is primo.
I am here in New Orleans for the St Joseph feast. I love your presentation - very informative. I 'd love to talk to you and show you my photos from Sicily. Maybe contact by email and eventually phone? I live in Brooklyn.
