Louisiana Life Magazine spent a fun weekend in Ruston meeting and greeting at the 2008 Louisiana Peach Festival.  The theme of this year's festival was Stars and Peaches Forever and while peaches may not usually be associated with patriotism the peach ice cream certainly made our staff proud to be free Americans ... free to enjoy a virtual peach-out all weekend.

But eating peaches wasn't the only privilege afforded the events attendees. The weekend festivities were brought to a close by the well known All-American band, Asleep At The Wheel.

Make sure to mark your calendar for 2009 when the festival is held on the last weekend in June.

In the meantime visit the festival website: www.LouisianaPeachFestival.org.
