The New Orleans Daiquiri Festival presents the inaugural Daiquiri Day Parade on Saturday, July 19,  National Daiquiri Day. The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. outside of Gene’s Daiquiris near the corner of Elysian Fields and St. Claude avenues. The parade runs down Elysian Fields Avenue, turns right on Decatur, and then right onto Frenchmen Street, and through the doors of a to-be-announced venue, where the band will continue to play for the after party.
The parade will feature New Orleans dance troupes The Organ Grinders, Roux La La, and the NOLA Chorus Girls. Parade tunes will be provided by the Goodchildren Marching Band. The New Orleans Daiquiri Festival’s own Who Daiq!? Flava Girls will be marching as well. Daiquiri Day Parade participants will each have a daiquiri in-hand, courtesy of Gene’s Daiquiris.
