Running With Reason: Girls on the Run of New Orleans & Kiwanis Host Anti-Bullying 5K in City Park

Girls on the Run of New Orleans (GOTR NOLA) partners with local Kiwanis clubs to take a stand against bullying for its biannual 5K run in City Park on Saturday, May 10 at 8 a.m.

Each fall and spring, the GOTR NOLA 10-week character-building program culminates with a celebratory 5k run. This year, Kiwanis and Girls on the Run have joined forces in hopes of raising awareness about anti-bullying for youth in the New Orleans community.

The 5K race is open to anyone who is looking to get active and support a great cause. There is a $30 registration fee before April 30, and $40 on race day. Anyone interested in participating can sign-up at Participants will enjoy a 5K course that loops through City Park, complete with a pre-race Zumba warm up and post-race refreshments.
