The Cajun & Creole Mardi Gras Historical Exhibit of Western Acadia Parish

The exhibit, a very comprehensive 27 year study of the Prairie Cajun and Creole Mardi Gras traditions of western Acadia Parish, will be on public display for one week.  This 12 panel traveling exhibit reveals the very unique common folks Mardi Gras traditions that have been well preserved from its French roots through Nova Scotia to Louisiana.  The exhibit has a display of costumes, masks, hats & other artifacts well as an audio box with 8 different cajun and Creole Mardi Gras songs recorded in French.  The exhibit also features a rotating photo album, and a 7ft tall event time line roll up dating back from 1604 in France through recent events.  This s truly a unique historical and colorful presentqtion like none other.
