Unwanted Penance: A History of Prohibition in New Orleans

Historian Sally Asher will present a "special interactive lecture," “Unwanted Penance: A History of Prohibition in New Orleans," which will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition. There will be cameo performances and dramatic readings.


The event will start with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by the lecture at 7 p.m. The after-party will take place at d.b.a (618 Frenchmen St.).
