Essential Information

Street Address 3701 A Magazine Street
New Orleans, LA

Fleur d’ Orléans celebrates the design heritage of New Orleans with unique jewelry, accessories and gifts. The designers at FDO, Jann Fenner and Thomas Laird, literally find their designs on the streets of New Orleans. They photograph cast iron balustrades, murals in St Louis’s Cathedral, Fleur d’ Lys at Ursuline Convent, as well as designs decorating the facades of buildings from St Charles Avenue to Erato Street.

It is these unique New Orleans designs that inspire the extraordinary creations at FDO. Since Fleur d’ Orléans design’s all of its own products, you will not find them anywhere else in the city except at the main gallery on Magazine St. at the kiosk in Riverwalk Mall-- or online with free shipping.

FDO’s designers are phenomenally active. The collection of Fleur d’ Lys jewelry includes more than 100 distinctly different styles of Fleur d’ Lys, in silver: visitors say it’s the largest collection of Fleur d’ Lys jewelry they have ever seen. Return visitors to the main gallery on Magazine Street ask to see the latest Fleur d’ Lys jewelry: FDO created more than 30 new designs in 2008 alone.

Silk weavers in Laos and Thailand weave Fleur d’ Orléans designed silk scarves—both ikat and batik. No other designer in New Orleans creates an ikat woven silk scarf, with a Fleur d’ Lys motif—and yes we make it in black and gold! The designs on our handmade paper cards are all from New Orleans-- the fence at Jackson Square is popular. Our collection of hand carved Fleur d’ Lys in stone and in wood are unique in the city—all of these designs are created here in New Orleans, and then carved in Bali and India only for FDO. Our range of mouth blown crystal decorated with hand carved Fleur d’ Lys, includes champagne flutes, wine stems and paper weights as well as decanters, martini glasses, and whiskey glasses. And did you see the new napkins and napkin rings that just came in?

Drop by and have a seat on the couch at the Magazine Street gallery, and let us take you on a tour of the design heritage of New Orleans.
