Hell Yes Fest, the gargantuan comedy festival produced by The New Movement, is in progress. Headliners include Sara Schaefer of MTV’s "Nikki & Sara Live," the New York-based-but-Louisiana-raised comedian Sean Patton, and a live version of Adult Swim’s "Eric Andre Show." Info here.

Anyone with memories of playing that Oregon Trail computer game in school – and having one’s virtual family die of dysentery – will appreciate the NOLA Project’s latest production, a live, interactive version of the educational game. It opens tonight at the AllWays Lounge. Info here.

Southern Rep presents Pride and Prejudice at Ursuline Academy starring Ashley Ricord Santos as Elizabeth Bennet. The production coincides with the 200th anniversary of the Jane Austen book. Info here.

 

Friday, Nov. 15

Hitmaker Rihanna brings her Diamonds World Tour to the New Orleans Arena tonight with A$AP Rocky and Gta. Info here.

The New Orleans Opera presents a production of Benjamin Britten’s Noah’s Flood, an interpretation of the story of the Great Flood and Noah’s ark. The opera includes a children’s chorus featuring local students. Info here.

The Roots of Music, the free afterschool music program for Orleans Parish youth, celebrates its fifth anniversary with a party featuring performances by Rebirth Brass Band and the students of Roots of Music. There will also be craft cocktails, food and an auction. Info here.

A comedian who came to prominence in the 1995 film Friday and appeared more recently in Silver Linings Playbook, Chris Tucker performs at the Saenger tonight. Info here.

 

Saturday, Nov. 16

Patti LuPone returns to New Orleans for the Broadway at NOCCA series tonight. The Tony Award winner starred in original productions of Evita and Les Miserables and in revivals of Gypsy and Sweeney Todd, and she appears in the New Orleans themed and shot "American Horror Story: Coven." Info here.

Acerbic cultural and political commentator Bill Maher, host of HBO’s "Real Time," performs stand-up tonight at the Saenger. Info here.

Zebra frontman Randy Jackson does his best Jim Morrison for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s “Music of the Doors” concert. Info here.
