Old New Orleans Rum
Rum is a great mixer with just about every juice or syrup – but not with water. So with great distress two years ago, Celebration Distillation – makers of Old New Orleans Rum and the oldest existing rum distillery in the U.S. – found themselves with more than six feet of water in their Gentilly distillery. The owner, James Michalopoulas, the talented and respected artist, never considered giving up his rum project.

Made in a “small-batch process” method, Old New Orleans Rum has recently garnered a boatload of awards and accolades, including the Highest Rating from the International Review of Spirits for their Cajun Spice Rum, a Gold Medal from the American Distilling Institute for their Amber Rum and a Silver Medal from the International Review of Spirits for their Amber Rum. Now re-opened, offering tours and tastes, Celebration Distillation has brought Old New Orleans Rum back with born-again pride.
