General and Artistic Director Robert Lyall leads the association in a glorious season that’s bringing stunning performances to the Placido Domingo Stage of the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts.

Upcoming:

“Il Trovatore” (April 1-2). Starring soprano Mary Elizabeth William and baritone Mark Rucker, with mezzo-soprano Irina Mishura and tenor Renzo Zulian. This perennial Verdi favorite has triumphed on stages the world over. Its virtuoso arias, bracing and heartfelt duets and trios enhance one of the most intriguing plots in all of opera.

Stop by for one of these “Opera on Tap” concerts during March, presenting the finest young local and regional singers in casual performances of opera, Broadway and more: March 9 at Abita Brew Pub, Abita Springs; March 16 at The Inn on Bourbon, New Orleans; and March 23 at The Rusty Nail, New Orleans.
