On the Cover

Special thanks to Ann Heslin and the staff of Audubon Zoo; to Mimi for Mrs. Johnson’s dress; to FeBe for Mrs. Villere’s dress; and to Friend & Company, which presents a stunning 4-carat pavé diamond, yellow gold and sterling silver bracelet (shown on Ms. Milling) and earrings (on Mrs. Villere) from their newest collection. The set will be featured on the Whitney Zoo-To-Do silent auction.

Each year the Whitney Zoo-To-Do and the Zoo-To-Do for Kids presented by Humana are not-to-be-missed events featuring many of the best in food, auctions and entertainment.

This year’s Zoo-To-Do for Kids presented by Humana will take place Friday, April 29. Join chairwoman Anne Villere at the Sponsor and Patron Party, starting at 5 p.m., with the event rolling from 6-9 p.m. Children and adults alike will enjoy face painters, music by Radio Disney, sports and cheerleading clinics, complimentary food and beverages, inflatables and more.

Then, on Friday, May 6, join chairwoman Mary Johnson at the Whitney Zoo-To-Do. The Sponsor and Patron Party starts at 7 p.m.; the gala will roll from 8 p.m. until midnight. This year, The Four Tops will be headlining the entertainment; once you’re parched from all that dancing, you’ll be able to enjoy premium cocktails, local delicious cuisine, a luxury silent auction and a Lexus ES350 luxury car raffle.

Proceeds from this year’s Whitney Zoo-To-Do will help underwrite the creation of the zoo’s newest adventure: Twilight Zoo. The zoo will extend its summertime hours and entertain families with the Cool Zoo splash park (last year’s beneficiary), train and carousel rides, dinner at Zoofari Café, hand-held animals and live animal shows – just to name a bit!

For more information and to purchase tickets, call 861-6190 for the gala and 861-6160 for the kids’ event, or visit www.AudubonInsitiute.org.
