Having been established in 1949, Kehoe-France’s 14-acre Metairie campus and 12-acre Covington campus provide campers with swimming pools, tennis courts, numerous playing fields, gymnasiums, arts and crafts and ceramics labs, computer labs, rock wall climbing and weekly POW WOWS. The older camp groups are offered the experience of Red Wolf Wilderness Adventures, a team building leadership facility in Brooklyn, Mississippi where the campers canoe down the Black Creek and hike the Desoto National Forest. Louise S. McGehee School is happy to be opening its gates to Summer Gate Camp for girls entering grades K-4. Camp dates are Monday June 6 through Friday, July 1, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. each weekday and is open to both McGehee and non-McGehee girls. Campers can sign up for the entire four-week session or weekly sessions. Through enriching educational activities, our campers will have the opportunity to become confident leaders. The girls enjoy daily activities such as sports and fitness, arts and crafts, drama and daily teamwork challenges. Throughout the camp session, the campers work on a musical production, that is performed on the final day of camp. The camp offers weekly field trips and fun water days!
