This holiday season, one of the best gifts you can give is quality time with your loved one. A gift certificate for lunch, Sunday buffet brunch or even a Réveillon lunch at the Audubon Golf Clubhouse is the perfect way to ensure spending a leisurely afternoon overlooking the oak trees and enjoying quality New Orleans dining. Everyone makes New Year’s resolutions; not everyone sticks to them. Make reaching those goals that much easier with a gift that will keep you organized (and still stylish!). This Kate Spade 2011 wall calendar, whimsical sticky pad and copper pocket organizer are practical but youthful. Betty Hunley Designs, 6507 Magazine St., 895-2870.

Everyone wants to indulge her sweet tooth during the holidays… Instead of giving a wreath to hang on a door, give this edible dark chocolate wreath instead! The 10-inch gift tray is filled with milk chocolate foil-wrapped stars for an extra treat.  Blue Frog Chocolates, 5707 Magazine St., 269-5707.

Give your favorite hostess the gift of a smashing outfit perfect for ringing in the New Year with some sparkle. This gold sequin mini-dress will shimmer like the iconic New Year’s ball at midnight.

The Nibble gourmet food magazine also listed a gourmet chocolate bar from Sulpice Chocolat www.sulpicechocolat.com which I find intriguing. They have both dark and milk chocolate bars and each bar is individually painted with a beautiful design. It looks like they would make nice last minute gifts for co-workers or teachers.
