A star-studded event took place on September 11 at Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Carré in honor of its 95th anniversary. The Encore! Gala was preceded by a patron party at Muriel’s Jackson Square, and after dining on some light bites and listening to jazz numbers, patrons second-lined over to the theater for the main event.

There, the supporters of the local theater bid on prizes during live and silent auctions, which offered tickets and backstage passes to Broadway shows; walk-on roles in Le Petit productions; Saints autographed items; and more.

Chaired by Jackie Brechtel Clarkson, the party included celebrity guests including Clarkson’s famous daughter, actress Patricia; Bryan Batt of “Mad Men” fame; and Broadway star Leslie Castay. These three locally rooted stars entertained guests with songs and vignettes, and more than 15 restaurants provided cuisine. Proceeds from the Encore! Gala help the theater continue its vital role in the New Orleans arts and cultural community.
