Introducing Shelby

Jeffery Johnston

St. Charles Avenue is pleased to introduce Shelby Westfeldt and her column, “Cruisin’ the Crescent.” Many of you know her as Queen of Carnival 2003, and as the sister of Mary Scott and Dugan and daughter of Tommy and Linda Westfeldt.

Westfeldt spends her days working as a Coffee Trader for Westfeldt Brothers Inc., the oldest green coffee importer in the United States, following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather. Like most of you, she has served on nonprofit committees (including Legacy Donor Foundations’ “Soul Revival” 2010 as co-chair and “Julia Jump” 2011 as auction chair). When she has a few moments of spare time, she likes to spend it golfing, coffee cupping, traveling and socializing.

Her column will continue the tradition – set so expertly by Alexa Georges, Virginia Saussy and Diane Sustendal Labouisse – of opening a window into the world of “Society, Celebration and Style” – the world of St. Charles Avenue magazine.
