The tradition of the Greasing of the Poles, originally created to keep revelers from climbing on balconies, continues thanks to the The Royal Sonesta Hotel. Fleur de Tease Burlesque does the honors. Info here.
The Not So Super Super Hero party, the annual Carnival bash dedicated to unimpressive alter egos, is at the AllWays Lounge tonight. Costumes are required for entry; there will be "inspectors" on hand to enforce this. Info here.
Krewe de Lune hosts its Space Ball, this year with the theme "Lunes Before Time" — so wear your best prehistoric-meets-space attire. Katey Red, PYMP, Rusty Lazer and the hosting dance team, the Star-Steppin' Cosmonaughties, perform. Info here.

If you're more of a movie buff than a Carnival fiend, skip Bacchus and head to the Prytania for the New Orleans Film Society's annual Oscars party. The awards are shown on the big screen, and there's a film trivia games, costume contests, free food and drinks, and even a red carpet. Info here.

Krewe of Robyn, the walking krewe dedicated to the Swedish pop singer Robyn ("Call Your Girlfriend," "Dancing on my Own"), strolls through the Marigny and Quarter tonight. Info here.
