6. There are recitals and competitive performances at Loyola University for the International Piano Competition and Keyboard Festival. The Musical Arts Society of New Orleans competition features 152 finalists from 26 countries. 7. Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, rock heroes of the 1970s, reunite at the UNO Lakefront Arena at 8 p.m. on July 26. Tickets are available online from Ticketmaster.
8. Dinner and “Zoovie Night” is an event for the whole family to enjoy with the giraffes and the elephants on Sunday evening. Bring blankets, chairs and some treats and lay out on the lawn of the Audubon Zoo to enjoy a movie. Before the movie, there will be a DJ. $5 per person for admission.
