Trend watchers have forecast that 2008 will be about a back-to-basics approach to garden design. Here at New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles, we think that this translates to three things –– start simple, shop local, and choose beautiful!
At some of our favorite local nurseries (OK, we got a few items from Home Depot), we found easy-to-add decorative elements such as classic planters and bird feeders and paired them with über-modern garden tools that look great and work even better. Most important, we found uncomplicated, gorgeous plants and flowers that will add color and accent to any garden without too much of a drain on your wallet or your time.
