A fleet of 24 over-the-top tablescapes brightened the Audubon Tea Room on Friday, October 9, for the second annual “Wine, Dine & Design” tablescapes luncheon. St. Charles Avenue and its parent company, Renaissance Publishing LLC, together with presenting sponsor Whitney Bank, presented a check for more than $46,000 to Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit that provides emergency financial and other assistance to military families and wounded warriors.

Retailers and designers created the 24 tables, each with a diverse theme and design elements ranging from the classically elegant to whimsical and Louisiana-inspired.

At the Preview Party on the previous day, Thursday, October 8, nearly 200 guests circled the room for a closer look at the eye-catching table designs while sipping wine and champagne and dining on hors d’oeuvres by the Audubon Tea Room’s catering team.

For the Friday luncheon, almost 250 guests dined and sipped among the spectacular displays while learning more about Operation Homefront. A surprise auction of a live painting of the luncheon, created by artist Christopher Turner and emceed by Editor Morgan Packard, raised an additional $2,000.
