In 1991, Alison Calamia was the first person to bring Reverse Mortgage products to Louisiana. Calamia is a Reverse Mortgage Specialist and Assistant Vice President with America’s Mortgage Resource. Alison is a Certified Reverse Mortgage Professional (CRMPs) which is an accreditation from the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association (NRMLA). As a CRMP, Alison says, “Being one of only 200 people nationwide to have achieved this milestone is a testament to my commitment to reverse mortgages.” In addition to her desire to help older homeowners and buyers, Calamia currently serves on the education committee for NRMLA helping others become certified as well.
Calamia’s expertise lies in understanding both the retail side of the business, originating Reverse Mortgages, as well as the wholesale side of the business, as a National Account Executive for some of the most well-known Reverse Mortgage wholesale investors in the country. With 30 years of experience in the industry, Calamia has spent many of those years educating and managing Reverse Mortgage Brokers and Mortgage Lenders across the country. Her experience also includes managing the Reverse Mortgage servicing division of New Orleans based, Standard Mortgage Corporation. With her experience working in virtually every aspect of the Reverse Mortgage business, Calamia’s extensive background brings dynamic prowess for all her clients.
