In the 16 years since Chase Mullin founded his landscape architecture firm—with only an old Jeep and a borrowed trailer—his team has expanded to 200 professionals providing exceptional white-glove service to residential and commercial customers across the Gulf South. Among Mullin’s many top-talent team members is Senior Landscape Architect Benton Williams, ASLA, a graduate of LSU’s Robert Reich Architecture Program. After years of working on high-profile Northeast projects, including the White House Rose Garden, Williams returned to Louisiana to join Mullin.
“The process is what inspires me, working collaboratively to create spaces and gardens that have a lasting impact on people,” he says. Passionate about design and travel, Williams keeps an eye on new projects and trends, whether thumbing through books or exploring neighborhoods on his bike.
In 2023, Mullin received numerous NALP awards for its innovative work on properties, including the Amazon Rainforest at the Audubon Aquarium, Carrollton Courthouse, and Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Mullin was named Best Place to Work by New Orleans CityBusiness and Lawn & Landscape, and for the 7th year, CityBusiness readers chose Mullin as the Best Landscape Company Top Winner.
