NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Parade of Homes presented annually by the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans (HBAGNO) has something exciting and affordable this year for every potential homebuyer. It is the official showcase of the latest in home design in the Greater New Orleans area. It serves as the region’s best opportunity to tour new homes and see the latest innovations in building construction and industry trends, such as adaptable and multi-purpose layouts, combined open air living spaces, lighting and plumbing finishes, textures and colors, and all the newest trends for 2023. Attendees can also receive expert advice from the area’s trusted builders, designers, lenders, and real estate professionals.
This year’s Parade of Homes, presented by Burk Construction and Development, Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery, Hyman J. Bartolo, Jr. Contractors, Inc., Sunrise Homes, and Troyer Builders, features a total of 22 homes by 14 area builders. These amazing homes can be seen in person by visiting them each Saturday and Sunday of the Parade from 1-5 p.m., June 17 & 18 and 24 & 25.
Select Parade homes can also be seen virtually starting June 26, using Matterport’s innovative 3D virtual tour technology on the “New Orleans Parade of Homes” mobile app, and on the Parade of Homes website. Attendees are encouraged to download the free app from the App Store or Google Play. It features a full list of this year’s Parade homes with locations, directions, a range of prices, builder contacts, sponsors, and vendors.
While spring and summer continue to be the most popular times for families to consider their housing needs, the Greater New Orleans Parade of Homes is ideal for inspirational concepts for those planning to build, renovate or move to a new neighborhood, as housing needs continue to evolve, post- pandemic. Many people are searching for a new home that offers style and much needed space, as well as comfort, safety, and a sense of community. This year’s Parade homes will be featured in neighborhoods across the greater metro area, including The Parks of Plaquemines, English Turn, Live Oak Estates and Live Oak Manor in Waggaman, Heather Oaks in Luling, Old Metairie, Lake Vista, Gabriel, Taft Park, Louisiana Trace in Kenner, and Audubon Place in Destrehan.
“This year’s Parade offers a variety of homes in neighborhoods that reflect the diverse tastes and budgets of potential homebuyers across our community,” said Patrice Kononchek, Outside Builder Sales at Ferguson Supply and Chair of the 2023 Parade of Homes. “As we continue to monitor key housing issues affecting potential homeowners, such as homeowners and flood insurance, we are excited and proud to once again showcase the work of our area’s most innovative builders, subcontractors, and vendors who provide inspiration while building strong relationships in the communities in which they serve.”
Additionally, the HBAGNO is a proud supporter of the St. Jude Dream Home®. Proceeds from the now sold-out annual raffle will support St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The New Orleans St. Jude Dream Home is a 2,650 sq. ft., 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house located at 3913 Taft Park in Metairie. Built by Hyman L. Bartolo Jr. Contractors, LLC, the home is valued at approximately $700,000.
