2024 Running of the Santas Dec. 14 in Warehouse District

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Running of the Santas presented by Surfside, the annual holiday celebration of festively-attired revelers in New Orleans’ Warehouse District, returns to spread adult holiday cheer on Saturday, Dec. 14.
 
This year’s holiday event will kick off at the South Pole at Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant, located at 701 Tchoupitoulas St., starting at 2 p.m. From there, Santas will join a holiday “Fun Run” beginning at 6 p.m., dashing through the streets to the North Pole at Generations Hall located at 315 Andrew Higgins Blvd., where New Orleans-based band Neutral Snap will keep the holiday festivities going with live music well into the evening. The holiday revelry is sponsored by Surfside Iced Tea Vodka and Lemonades and Crescent Crown Distributing.
 
The event invites “runners” and walkers from across the Gulf Coast to don their most creative holiday attire, whether it be Santa, Mrs. Claus, Scrooge, or any Christmas-inspired costume. Last year’s Running of the Santas drew thousands to the streets of downtown New Orleans, with organizers expecting an even larger turnout in 2024 to participate in the most unique and craziest Christmastime event.
 
Online registration is open now. General admission tickets are $30, with a limited number of two-for-one general admission tickets available for $30 while supplies last. VIP tickets, which include an open bar at Generations Hall, are available for $75.

A portion of the event proceeds will benefit That Others May Live Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This foundation provides scholarships, family counseling, and support to the children of United States Air Force (USAF) Rescue Heroes who sacrificed their lives during rescue missions, ensuring that each child has opportunities for future success.
