25th Cure By Design Gala This Weekend

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The American Cancer Society Cure By Design Gala presented by Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center marks 25 years of raising funds to benefit cancer research and patient support services, including the American Cancer Society Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge on River Road.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. Hope Lodge communities offer a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in activities, or unwind in their own private room. Patients staying at a Hope Lodge must be in active cancer treatment and live 40 miles from the facility.

This year’s theme, “Jardin de la Vie” (Garden of Life), organizers share celebrates hope and progress in the fight against cancer. A special highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Heart & Soul Award to Morris Bart, for his significant contributions and unwavering commitment to the community.
