A Message from the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans…
The Preservation Resource Center is now in its 37th year of preserving, restoring and revitalizing New Orleans’ historic architecture and neighborhoods. Since its founding in 1974, the PRC has preserved and restored nearly 1,400 homes in New Orleans. In the last six years alone, the PRC has:
• Restored more than 335 homes, an investment value of more than $10 million
• Made a huge economic impact locally with more than 55 employees
• Focused our programs on long-term sustainability and green practices
• Reached thousands of homeowners and potential homeowners through our education and outreach programs
• Reaffirmed for hundreds of local students why they love their city, their homes and their neighborhoods through the new “My City, My Home” project
• Become recognized as leaders in New Orleans’ economic recovery
