3rd Annual YEP Fest on March 24

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) will be hosting the third annual YEP Fest on Sunday, March 24 from 11 AM-4 PM. Attendees will have a fun afternoon of competitive pedicab races, live music, raffle giveaways, food trucks and drinks.

The three block street festival is open to the public and will include performances and special appearances by the HOT 8 Brass Band, Bo Dollis Junior and the Wild Magnolias, Carmouche Performing Arts Academy, Camel Toe Lady Steppers, and YEP Drumline & Dance Team. Pedicab racing will return again this year. More performers to be announced soon.

Proceeds from the event will go towards YEP’s mission: “YEP engages underserved young people through community-based education, mentoring, employment readiness, and enrichment programs to help them develop skills and strengthen ties to family and community.”
