NEW ORLEANS (press release) – LPO Volunteers, an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to service and support for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, is set to host the 74th Annual Symphony Book Fair. Join in this weekend at the Lakefront Arena to benefit the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and all the work they do in the community (teach music in schools, offer free concerts, bring music to those in need, etc.). Book Fair typically raises about $40,000 for the LPO and we’re looking for sponsors for next year’s sale!

- Books – 50 categories of fiction & nonfiction
- Music – sheet music and recorded music (LPs, CDs)

WHEN: Friday, May 31, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. ($20 admission 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
Saturday, June 1, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. (free)
Sunday, June 2, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (free)
- Special Children’s Sale Sunday 11-2:30 – every child accompanied by an adult can decorate a white bag and fill it with books. Filled bags cost only $5 at checkout.
HOW: Thousands of donated items for sale at very affordable prices
WHY: All proceeds benefit the LPO and their work to bring music to our community.
