A denim skirt is a great spring wardrobe staple. Yes, a denim skirt. If you’re thinking of the micro-mini, acid wash variety made popular in the ’80s, think again. Unlike its predecessors, fashion favorite’s latest designs are thoroughly modern. Today’s cut is decidedly more precise and feminine. The higher slits, either on the side or in the front, make them not just more flattering but also breathable. All colors are a go for spring and there are plenty to choose from. I’ll stick with classic blue denim and pair mine with an airy short-sleeved top I can tuck in or an elevated Tee and these lacy sneakers.
