I want to begin my column with a huge thank you to Morgan Packard, Editor of St. Charles Avenue. Morgan is invaluable to me and all of us who work at Renaissance Publishing! She is there every day with multiple jobs and she handles every one of them expertly, seemingly easily, but I know how hard she works and always with a smile on her face. All of you know that Morgan is “the go to girl” at St. Charles Avenue and she always “makes it happen” Thanks Morgan for everything you do!
Celebration in the Oaks is such a success for City Park and our city as a whole. We are thrilled to present them on our December cover. Thanks to CEO of New Orleans City Park Robert Becker; Steven and Andrea Hemperly representing sponsor Capital One; New Orleans City Park Board of Commissioners member Tim Lafranca; and Celebration in the Oaks Committee and City Park Board of Commissioners member Andrea Legrand for gracing our cover, and to Paul Soniat, who’s been with The New Orleans Botanical Garden from its inception! The Preview Party was November 20 with Cowboy Mouth and lots of fun, the Children’s Preview Party was on November 22 and opening night was on November 27. Be sure to be among the over 120,000 visitors to Celebration in the Oaks this year, and help make it the best year ever.
