The Friends of Jefferson the Beautiful’s “Autumn Affair” raised more than $40,000 from the more than 90 attendees that enjoyed the ambiance of a Metairie Club Gardens’ home and its landscaped grounds. Holley Haag, Elesha Kelleher and Ashley Price Swanson served as Gala Chairs; Heather and Bruce Burglass served as Patron Party hosts; and Jackie Madden serves as Friends of Jefferson the Beautiful’s Board President.
An exquisite spread of fare by Fleur de Lis Catering included crab cakes, duck canapés, an assortment of pates and saucisses and an array of desserts. Libations were courtesy of Byblos, Araña and Salú.
Highlights of the silent and live auctions featured a Saints tickets and parking pass package, a Saks Fifth Avenue gift basket, a house portrait and a private theatre screening party donated by The Theatres at Canal Place.
Notable attendees included Jefferson Parish President John Young, Jefferson Parish Deputy Chief Operating Officer Jennifer VanVrancken and Jefferson Parish Department of Parkways Director Brook Burmaster.
Started in 1997, the Friends of Jefferson the Beautiful have raised funds to beautify and landscape public green spaces and to preserve the tree canopy in Jefferson Parish.
