The Men and Women of Fashion hosted the 39th annual Prix d’Elegance Luncheon on April 13 at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. The event once again benefited BRAVO (the Ballet Resource and Volunteer Organization), which provides educational and scholarship funds for the New Orleans Ballet Association, NOBA.
At the event, the Men and Women of Fashion honored 10 men and 10 women for their style as well as their contributions to the community. Jacquee Carvin and Jenny Hamilton chaired the event, which began at 10 a.m. with the patron party. Then came the highly anticipated runway fashion show by Chatta Box Boutique and Jeff’s Haberdashery.
At the luncheon, the silent auction featured items donated by local businesses, the live auction highlighted a piece called “Upward Bound” by local artist Terrance Osborne and there was a raffle of an 18 karat gold ring donated by Jewels by LeeAnne & Savoie Jewelry Appraisers.
Proceeds from the luncheon went toward NOBA’s educational programs (with more than 3,000 free dance classes and activities) and scholarship programs (which allow students to attend at dance schools all over the country).
