The Junior League of New Orleans hosted its annual Kitchen Tour on April 16, showcasing 14 elegant kitchens on a self-guided tour in the Garden District and Old Metairie neighborhoods.
Preceding the kitchen tour, on April 14, was a stylish kick-off party, held at Latrobe’s on Royal Street. This year’s theme was “An Evening with Chef Nathanial Zimet of Boucherie Restaurant,” and the party featured live food demonstrations, specialty cocktails by Cure, live music, a raw oyster bar and live and silent auctions.
Chairs of the party were Stephanie Boh and Sky Sturlese Fantaci; vice-chair was Jennifer Hawney; and honorary chairs were Patricia Denechaud and Jan Hayden
Primarily sponsored by Peoples Health, the kick-off party – like the tour itself – raised money for volunteer-supported community projects and grants.
Participants in the tour included: Glenn and Elizabeth Hayes; David and Greer Monteleone; Robert and Alane Nuzum; Scott and Jennifer Cheatham; Clifton and Elizabeth LeBlanc; Bert and Me’me’ Wilson; Dr. Troy Scroggins Jr. and Patrick Miller; Wendell and Katie LeGardeur; Bill Metcalf and Cindy Chassaniol; Anne Montgomery; Bill and Anne Grace; Herschel and Anne Abbott; Nick Mayor and Jessica Bride; and Michael DeGeorge and Deborah Hinson.
The Junior League of New Orleans is an 86-year-old organization with more than 2,200 women members; with
a primary focus area of children’s education, JLNO provides volunteers and financial support for its projects and activities. Members volunteer more than 50,000 hours of their time annually.
