Louise Jahncke Acomb and Jack Leighton Smallpage met in 2002 at Louise’s Sacred Heart Sweet Sixteen party. After that night, the two became good friends and dated throughout the rest of high school and during their time at the University of Alabama.
Over Labor Day weekend 2011, Louise and Jack were both in Pass Christian, Miss., for the holiday. Jack had planned to take Louise out on a boat ride to propose on the water, but unfortunately, Tropical Storm Lee prevented them from going out. Instead, Jack surprised Louise by proposing on the front porch of her grandmother’s house, where they later celebrated with both of their families.
After the wedding, Louise and Jack went to Hermitage Bay Resort in Antigua for one week. The two currently reside in New Orleans, where Louise is the business office manger at West Bank Surgery Center and Jack is a sales representative for Donovan Marine, Inc.
