NEW ORLEANS (press release) – It was announced this week that multi-Emmy winning actor/producer Noah Wyle will rule the Krewe of Orpheus as it rolls Feb. 16, 2026 at 6 p.m., leading a procession of 35 floats and over 1,500 members under the theme All The World’s A Stage on Lundi Gras evening.
Wyle, stars in, co-writes, directs and executive produces the medical drama “The Pitt” for HBO Max, which ranks among the top three most watched series in the platform’s history. Currently in production of its second season, Wyle has already garnered two Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category and in the Outstanding Drama Series category as an executive producer for his work on the show.
He previously led the genre-defining hit TV drama “ER” as ‘Dr. John Carter’ across 15 seasons, a role for which he earned three Golden Globe Award nominations and five Primetime Emmy Award nominations. A talented multihyphenate, since 2021, Wyle has starred, written for and directed episodes of the critically acclaimed action crime drama “Leverage: Redemption” and the sci-fi series “Falling Skies.” Other television acting credits include “The Red Line,” “The Romanoffs” and “The Librarians.” On the feature side, Wyle has appeared in nearly two dozen films including Rob Reiner’s “A Few Good Men” and Richard Kelly’s “Donnie Darko.” He was also the first actor to portray Steve Jobs in the film “Pirates of Silicon Valley.”
In an unprecedented first, the Krewe will also be bringing back five Monarch alums to join the festivities. Joey Fatone (Orpheus 2023), Will Forte (Orpheus 2017), Jimmi Simpson (Orpheus 2017), Jonathan Silverman (Orpheus 2011) and Jennifer Finnigan (Orpheus 2011),will all be riding with Captain Sonny Borey on the Captain’s Galleon.
Also embedded in the parade will be social media sensations Cale and Hootie aka SideQuestDJ, HootieHurley, CaleGoes, in a collaboration with Tony Chachere’s.
The parade will culminate at the New Orleans Convention Center for the Orpheuscapade, the high-energy after parade dance party which is open to the public. The eight-hour live music spectacular includes a front-row seat to the full parade and is open to the public. In addition to spotting all of the celebrity royalty, guests will enjoy performances by Red Hot Revolution, Groove Merchants, the Mixed Nuts and Bonearama. This year the Krewe will also be offering multiple packages for Orpheuscapade which include full catering and open bar options.
Keeping with the super krewe’s newest tradition, custom tambourines will be a highlight of the krewe’s 2026 throws. Each tambourine will be hand-decorated, allowing members to express their creativity and leaving parade goers with a one-of-a-kind, collectable carnival souvenir.
