Agency PETERMAYER Launches New Campaign Ahead of Falcons Home Game

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – New Orleans creative agency PETERMAYER has a message for the Atlanta Falcons: “Shough ‘em.”

Ahead of this week’s rivalry game with the Saints, the agency announced it is giving out free “Shough the Falcons” merchandise to hype up rookie QB Tyler Shough (pronounced “shuck”) ahead of his first home start.

PETERMAYER representatives will be handing out “Shough the Falcons” bumper stickers on game day. Follow the agency’s Instagram channel, @peteramayer, where they’ll drop clues on where to nab the free swag.

The company shares that the effort comes during a time of renewed hope for Saints fans. Shough captured his first victory with a sensational performance against Carolina and is looking for a follow up win against the dirty birds.

“All it takes is one win—and a rivalry game—for an entire city to believe again. And the fans believe in Shough,” said PETERMAYER CEO Michelle Edelman. “At the same time, we cannot pass up an opportunity to troll the Falcons, because sports are more fun when you have an enemy.”

The company hopes the design will unite fans ahead of the game – and to help all Who Dat nation learn how to pronounce “Shough” before they enter the Dome on Sunday.

“We know from our own Brand Joy Lab research earlier this year that rivalries make our experience as fans more joyful,” said Edelman. “We feed off the energy of hating on an opponent—and having them hate on us—in good fun.”
