NEW ORLEANS (press release) – In celebration of Women’s History Month, James Beard: Best Chef South 2024 semifinalist Melissa Araujo of Alma Cafe is pleased to team up with Olivia Stewart of Oxbow Rum Distillery, the premium single estate rum from South Louisiana, for a one-night-only rum tasting and tapas soirée.
The evening will feature complimentary tastings of specialty rum cocktails crafted by Alma Café Head Bartender Mark Preston. Cocktails on offer will include Alma’s signature Chef Old Fashioned, Oxbow Boulevardier, Gray Hemingway, and a Classic Mojito. Delectable tapas – for purchase – include Alma Oysters – Bayou Rosa oysters with a tropical vinaigrette, New England-style lobster Roll, Camarones a la Diabla, and Tuna Ceviche.
