Over the last few years, Anna Tusa has made a name for herself in the male-dominated New Orleans restaurant business, overseeing the daily operations of three New Orleans restaurants: Briquette, New Orleans Creole Cookery, and New Orleans Cajun Cookery. As a food-focused entrepreneur, Tusa is proud to bring quality eateries to the city’s locals and visitors while providing positive work environments for New Orleans residents.
For Tusa, joys of the work include ensuring excellent dining experiences for guests, building relationships with those guests, and mentoring employees to become the best in the profession.
“In this industry, many young people do not attend college or are single, working mothers. Being able to mentor these individuals and see them rise in the ranks of the restaurant industry is exceptionally important and meaningful to me,” says Tusa.
A graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10KSB Program, Tusa traveled to NYC to talk about her business and receive one-on-one business coaching from Goldman Sachs & Bloomberg. Tusa serves as President of the French Market Board of Directors and has been named to Inner City 100, New Orleans Magazine Tops of the Town winner, and City Business Woman of the Year.
