April Cocktails in the City

As the year continues, more places are opening back up and we are thrilled about the all choices. While things may not be 100% back to normal, bartenders are working to create happy hours that we can enjoy with friends.

Blue Oak BBQ (900 Carrollton Ave.) caught our attention mainly because it is casual, outdoors and in the heart of Mid-City. Here, happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. with a nice selection of wines, daiquiris, cocktails and beer. It’s a nice hang out on one of these wonderful April days.

Half Shell (2517 Bayou Road) is offering happy hour from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Here you will find a nice selection of wine, beer and cocktails along the historic Bayou Road. There is nice casual indoor seating and breezy outdoor seating options. The staff here is fun and happy to give you something to quench your thirst. A few doors down you’ll find Whiskey & Sticks, which offers wonderful selections, as well.

Galaxie Tacos (3060 St. Claude Ave.) is perfect for fun drinks. There is a great patio in front of the building, which used to be an old service station. The renovation is hip and good for those of us who love outdoor seating this time of year. Happy hour includes good Latin-inspired selections, as well as wine and beer. A Bywater favorite that will keep you coming back for more.

These are just a few of our April picks. If you have a favorite happy hour you would like for us to check out, let us know so we can share it with cocktail lovers everywhere.
