Fransen Mills uses best management practices to ensure our custom designs will hold up in the built environment and look good for years. Material selection is critical to the longevity of a project, so we keep a close eye on past projects to make certain everything holds up over time.
Are there certain types of plants or trees that thrive best in New Orleans?
Just because a plant is supposed to grow in our climate does not mean it will thrive in New Orleans. A comprehensive knowledge of what has worked in our city over the past 40 years makes a massive difference in what survives a summer drought, hurricane, or freeze. That is why we hand-tag our materials and buy from over 100 nurseries throughout the continental U.S.
