French Quarter fans sampled drinks and delicacies at the Vieux Carré Property Owners, Residents and Associates Annual Gala on April 16.
The VCPORA is a 72-year-old preservationist group that strives to protect the architectural integrity of the Vieux Carré.
Guests flocked to the home of Raine Bedsole and George Dumas for the patron party at 6:30 p.m. Guests in attendance each donated $500 to the organization. The official gala began at 8 p.m. At the gala, property owners and residents enjoyed the music of gypsy jazz legend Tony Green, as well as food from the Marigny Brasserie, Tomatillo’s and Tujague’s, among others. Guests also enjoyed drinks from notable beverage companies and bars, such as Republic Beverage Company and Meaux Bar.
Brenda Moffit was this year’s event chairwoman. Robin Wilkinson presided over auctions and Nadine Blake was in charge of decorations.
