Are You Ready For Holiday Sippin’?

Yes, the holiday season is not far away. That means many local spots are doing their best to conjure up some of the best holiday happy hours around.

SoBou (310 Chartres St.) is hosting its Holiday Sippin’ wine tasting Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is in partnership with our buddies at Swirl Wine Bar. So, from six different local wine distributors, you can sip more than 40 wines for just $49. And small bites will be available for this event. It’s right around the corner, which means, get your reservations in and enjoy this fun French quarter sipping soirée!

Fulton Alley (600 Fulton St.) has a prohibition-style cocktail lounge inside that is now offering half off drink specials Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. You can get $3 Paradise Park Draft, $5 Old Fashioned and half off wine by the glass. If you are there for a Saints game, you will get an extra special treat. You can order drinks that range from $6-$10. We like the Effen Cucumber Bloody Mary, which is garnished with a slice of thick cut pork belly. You can also sip on the Black & Gold Shot and a Beer, which is bourbon paired with a Paradise Park Lager. If that’s not enough, try the Ginger Coconut Daiquiri made with coconut rum, muddled ginger lime and simple syrup. The options here are so delicious.

The Fountain Lounge (inside the Roosevelt Hotel, 130 Roosevelt Way) has one of our favorite deals of all time. Bubbles & Burgers happens every Tuesday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. This rare pairing happens with the the historic hotel as a backdrop. Picture this: top shelf burgers and champagne. Everyone will get a complimentary glass of champagne when you buy a burger. You can’t beat it.

The Franklin (2600 Dauphine St.) has a daily happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (except Tuesday when the restaurant is closed). Here you can indulge on $6 cocktails including house martini’s, lemon drops, margaritas and an old fashioned. The great cocktails keep on coming when you simply browse the menu. You can get draft beers for $4 bucks or draft wines for $5.

These are of course just a few happy hour deals happening now. If you have a favorite holiday happy hour you want us to check out, let us know so we can share it with cocktail lovers everywhere.
