Art Season is Upon Us, Dirty Linen Night Preview Party

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – ESOM Art is celebrating the start of art season with a Dirty Linen preview party on Aug. 12 at its Royal Street location (811 Royal St.). In addition to showcasing new works by Tony and Tracey Mose, the artists will offer Champagne and the inspiration behind their work. The gallery will be open during its regular hours (11 a.m.-5 p.m.) with extended hours from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.

On view are Tony’s new “On Figurative” series. Tony has a deep love of fashion, which informs his work daily. His figurative work develops intuitively as the brush, paint and canvas speak to whether a figure is more abstract or realistic. As such, the figures take on their own form with differing headdresses, cloaks and expressions as Tony’s own emotions are translated into each painting. His figurative work is untitled as a way for the viewer to develop his or her own narrative about each piece.

Meanwhile, Tracey will be showing her urban expressionism pieces. The artwork expresses emotion through structural objects with an emphasis on the past and present living harmoniously together in truth. Her process involves the layering of urban structures photographed throughout New Orleans.

Tony and Tracey both approach art much like they do life: with an energetic fervor that shines through. “We are big believers that there is art in everything you do,” Tracey says. “There is art in fashion, food, decor and more. When Tony and I were dating, we would always go shopping together before a big night out. We’ve always seen a relationship between art and fashion. Anyone can lead an artful life.”

In addition to the preview party, Tony and Tracey will be celebrating Dirty Linen at the Royal Street gallery on Aug. 14. The gallery will be open during its regular hours (11 a.m.-5 p.m.) with extended hours from 5 p.m.-9 p.m.

Tony and Tracey also have just launched a new website showcasing all of their art at
