NEW ORLEANS (press release) – In conjunction with Bodies of Knowledge, artists represented in the exhibition have been invited to select a film for screening as a Saturday matinee at NOMA. Join artist Mahmoud Chouki on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. as he introduces “Whatever Lola Wants” (2007 | Not rated | 1 hour, 55 minutes). The film follows Lola, an American postal worker who travels to Egypt to seek out a legendary belly dancer. Lola dreams of becoming a belly dancer herself.
