Daughters Beyond Incarceration is dedicated to supporting children impacted by parental incarceration ensuring they receive support to thrive academically and mentally. In June of 2024, we passed a bill that allows incarcerated parents to attend their child’s graduation virtually. Girls between the ages of 8-18 who have a parent in prison and reside in low-income communities in New Orleans need a way to restore their mental well-being, develop leadership skills and enhance parent-to-child relationships.
