A holiday staple since 2014, the Famcore Foundation’s Hams for Fams project focuses on providing holiday meals to low-income families in the Greater New Orleans area, this local student-led initiative brings out volunteers the week before Christmas to box and deliver hundreds of meals to underserved families in the city. Aiming to serve as many as three hundred meals this year, Hams for Fams is looking for volunteers and donations to help them make the holidays a bit more merry for their New Orleans neighbors.
