The New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter welcomes homeless families from diverse backgrounds with the goal of breaking the cycle of homelessness by offering shelter, family-centric services, and 18 months of transition assistance to help participants recover and remain out of homelessness. In the past year alone, over 250 individuals received shelter and support in a homelike setting, two-thirds of whom were children. With your support, NOWCS can expand into its new Mid-City facility and double its capacity to offer a lifeline to families in need.
