Actively working to disrupt cycles of poverty and violence in New Orleans, Strong City is a student-run nonprofit that partners with established New Orleans organizations to support youth empowerment, leadership, and education. Founded in 2017 by Tulane student Peter Gold and inspired by a desire to address the impact of violence exposure on youth, Strong City aims to build sustainable pathways for youth to thrive and contribute to a stronger New Orleans through project-based giving, consistent engagement, and forming meaningful community relationships.

Strong City is hosting its 5th annual Thanksgiving Drive this fall, which will support 400 families with Thanksgiving meals.
