Among Tulane Dermatology’s outstanding group of board-certified dermatologists is Dr. Leah G. Jacob. Originally drawn to dermatology due to the wide variety of patients the specialty cares for, Dr. Jacob treats cases as mild as acne in teenagers and as serious as full-body psoriasis and cutaneous lymphomas. Dr. Jacob attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center where she received her Medical Degree. She then completed her residency at Tulane University School of Medicine Department of Dermatology. At Tulane Dermatology, Dr. Jacob is part of a team that serves as a referral center for surrounding areas, solving difficult cases that require a talented, fresh eye. Dr. Jacob treats all spectra of skin diseases in pediatric and adult populations, including skin cancer, rashes, cancer screenings, and cosmetic procedures.
“I treat all my patients as I would a family member,” says Dr. Jacob. “I try to give them autonomy in their care and get to know them on a personal level.”
